The need
Winter on the Pokrovsk line wears equipment down faster than it can be replaced. Radios fail, vehicles break, the cold takes its toll on power and drones. The need is continuous and larger than any single fundraiser.
This round funds the most urgent items first, starting with encrypted radios. Every contribution buys the next piece of gear the reconnaissance section needs.
The brigade
Helena served for a long time with the 15th Brigade, the unit sent wherever the situation was worst, called in to put out fires along the front when a position was on the verge of collapse. They fought at Robotyne during the Zaporizhzhia counteroffensive and at Kupiansk, and they have held the Pokrovsk sector since 2024. Some of the men have been there ever since, with almost no time off.
Helena was wounded fighting alongside them, and she lost many friends. She fought with these men for years. They are her boys, still out there holding the line, and now they need help. This collection is part of getting it to them.
What the winter needs
Winter on this part of the front is its own enemy. This collection covers several things the reconnaissance section needs to keep operating safely through the cold months:
-
Encrypted radios
The priority. The enemy intercepts unencrypted radio traffic to locate and target our soldiers. Encrypted radios let the section move, watch, and report without giving away their position. -
Generators
Power for equipment, warmth, and communications when the grid is gone, which in Pokrovsk it usually is. -
Drone accessories
Batteries, spare parts, and components that keep reconnaissance drones in the air through winter conditions. -
Vehicle repairs
The vehicles that move the section between positions take constant damage. Keeping them running keeps people alive.
Every contribution goes toward these needs, whichever is most urgent when the money arrives.
Earlier donations have already paid for much-needed car repairs and spare parts for the section. The work is ongoing, and so is the need.
